朱立倫講了再多次不選2016，都不能改變他是國民黨最強參選人的事實，特別是「朱習會」如果能成功贏得台灣人民認同，朱立倫勢必水漲船高，問鼎總統聲勢大漲，這也是許多國民黨人都還對朱立倫抱持希望的原因。
「朱習會」與以往的國共論壇截然不同，過去即使在民進黨執政時期，兩岸關係都是民進黨的弱項，但此刻國民黨的兩岸政策面臨「兩岸紅利為少數人獨享」的質疑，加上在「九合一」選舉重挫，使得大陸重新檢討對台政策。
所以，「朱習會」應可看到國共兩黨兩岸政策的調整，修正的方向與幅度都對未來兩岸關係產生深刻變化。
值得注意的是，國共兩黨都看出當前兩岸政策的缺點，因而加強對「三中一青」的重視與關懷，這一區塊恰是國民黨選舉中最弱的一環。兩岸政策若能有效調整，重新爭取「三中一青」的支持，對國民黨也是加分，有助於大選爭取勝利。
台北市長選舉前一年，綠營很少有人看好柯P會當選，現在國民小田切 讓小田切讓?in the pool,小田切讓?香椎由宇 離婚,黨在總統大選中的態勢有如當時的柯P。古人早就說過「盛極而衰」、「否極泰來」，如果「朱習會」能讓多數人稱道叫好，朱立倫未必不可能主帥親征，屆時2016鹿死誰手還很難說。
